I know you all have been sitting on the edge of your seats, waiting with bated breath to hear how it’s going, so I’ll oblige you with an update.  ;)   Today has been a better day.  Yesterday, I felt like I got almost nothing done due to the whole potty training thing.  It’s now almost noon, though, and while keeping an eye on Potty Girl I’ve made laundry detergent, yogurt, and granola, I did a load of laundry and hung it out, and got some other miscellaneous things done too.  So, things are looking up a bit.  She’s still not managing to get the concept that SHE should run herself over to the potty chair when she has to go, but I’m hopeful that will come in time.

A package of 108 diapers costs $20 at Walmart, which makes each diaper worth 18.5 cents.  Lately, I’d say we’ve been going through about 6-8 diapers a day.   Right now, I’m still putting her in one at naptime and at bedtime, so let’s say I’m saving myself 6 diapers a day, or $1.11 a day($33.33 a month).  At this higher maintenance stage of potty training, I’d rather fork over the $1.11 but when she gets a little more independent I’m sure I won’t feel that way. :p

Plus, there is the fact that by the end of the day, I’ll have kept about 12 diapers out of the landfill.  And that’s a happy thing.
